Michelle Peruski started her professional career in the legal/insurance industry after attending University of Michigan and completing her BA Degree at Oakland University.
After some time in corporate America, Michelle caught the entrepreneurial bug and began a small gift retail business of her own. This led to developing a true passion for supporting the unique needs of the small business owner. In response, she started Balancing Act Bookkeeping which later merged with Christopher Wm Mahler CPA PC.
Having been a business owner herself, Michelle has real insight into the struggles and needs of small business. She has continued to focus on providing support to the small business community with an emphasis on emerging technologies and workflow efficiencies.
In addition to diverse experience, she holds several accreditations, is a member of American Association of Professional Bookeepers (AIPB) and is a Quickbooks Online Advanced Proadvisor.
Michelle joined our firm in 2016 as our Client Success and Operations Manager. Michelle has been focused on our client education, onboarding, and technologies.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son and husband, traveling, and playing the drums or bass guitar.
Michelle has been selected as one of eight industry professionals across the US for the 2019-2020 class of the Intuit Accountants Council. She will be participating in meetings with key leaders to provide feedback on new products and strategic vision for various Intuit divisions.
